By October 2016, with LatinAir already 22 months into production, a viral news story seemed to project two AL characters into everyday reality: the couple formed (in more ways than one) by Edna “Paloma” and Norlan Jarquin, natives of Managua, who were going through a turbulent moment in their 22-year marriage.

Imagine our surprise when the Internet introduced us to: a) a middle-aged couple b) experiencing a marital crisis c) in which the wife publicly humiliates her spouse d) while he wears a blue shirt and e) she wears black pants, a navy blue blouse, and a large necklace.
